Quran Error: Pharaoh's Drowning, Ramesses II, and the Strengthened Islamic Dilemma

In this video Michael Jones argues the Quran contains an error by repeatedly claiming the Exodus Pharaoh drowned in the sea and that his preserved corpse would be a sign.  Many Muslims identify this Pharaoh as Rameses II, but the historical data doesn't agree, making the Quran historically mistaken.  This only strengthens the "Islamic Dilemma" in that the Quran affirms and appeals to prior scriptures (including Surah 10:94) as a means to verify its revelations, yet the Quran's Pharaoh details cannot be verified from Jewish and Christian scriptures.

On August 21 (Jay's 72nd birthday), Dr Raymond Ibrahim and Dr Jay Smith debated for 3 hours on the topic "Did the Muhammad of Islam Exist?"

Dr Ibrahim supported the view that Muhammad (of history) did exist (which ironically Jay agrees with), while Dr Smith argued for the belief that the 'Muhammad of Islam' (the Muhammad of faith') did not exist.

Je li povijest odnosa između islama i kršćanskoga Zapada ispričana potpuno pogrešno?

U ovom opširnom intervjuu gostuje Raymond Ibrahim, američki povjesničar, autor i istraživač koptskoga podrijetla koji se bavi poviješću odnosa između islama i kršćanstva, progonom kršćana te islamskim vojnim osvajanjima.

Ibrahim opisuje kako je, radeći s arapskim knjigama u Kongresnoj knjižnici, pronašao spise Osame bin Ladena i Aymana al-Zawahirija. Prema njegovim riječima, poruke koje su vođe Al-Qaide upućivale zapadnoj javnosti bitno su se razlikovale od tekstova namijenjenih muslimanskoj publici. To ga je istraživanje dovelo do knjige ,,Al-Qaeda Reader", a zatim i do opsežnijega proučavanja islamske povijesti i progona kršćana.

Središnji dio razgovora posvećen je Ibrahimovoj kritici uobičajenoga prikaza križarskih ratova. Oslanjajući se na primarne kršćanske i muslimanske izvore, on tvrdi da se križarski ratovi ne mogu razumjeti bez prethodnih stoljeća islamskih osvajanja. Podsjeća da su Sjeverna Afrika, Egipat, Sirija, Mala Azija i veliki dio Bliskoga istoka prije islamskih osvajanja bili središta kršćanskoga svijeta.

Razgovor također razlikuje odnos pojedinoga kršćanina prema muslimanskom bližnjemu, evangelizacijsku zadaću Crkve i odgovornost države za sigurnost, poredak i očuvanje vlastite civilizacije. Sugovornici naglašavaju da ljubav prema muslimanima i naviještanje Evanđelja ne isključuju ozbiljno razmatranje islamskoga nauka, povijesti i političkih posljedica masovne migracije.
